Spencer's vocabulary

Spencer's vocabulary has been growing by leaps and bounds! I can't believe he can say so many things!
Here is a list of the ones he can say to date:

yucky, Mommy, Daddy, da (Portuguese), no, ball, go, bubbles, doctor, cracker, cookies, Jodi, nana (banana), Nanny, stop, Grandpa, kitty, play

Hole in the wall . . .

So one day, not too long ago, I moved the laundry sorter in the laundry room to pick up a stray sock and found evidence (water, dirt, and drywall damage) of some unusual happenings. I called our handyman to come take a look at it. Together we thought it was just water damage but we didn't know from where so my job was then to be on the look out for more water and figure out where it was coming from. I was trying to do that but never saw water on the floor again. A couple months or so later (this last week), I decided to check on the spot. I moved the sorter again and found a mound of dirt, more drywall damage and more moisture! Now I don't know much about home maintenance but I know that water damage doesn't cause a dirt mound to appear in my basement so I called the handyman again to come check it out. He cut some of the sheet rock off and found a little bit of these:
I was not excited to find out we have termites! Lucky for us they haven't been there very long and the damage isn't extensive at all. Still going to cost money to take care of it but I am grateful the situation is not any worse.
Beware of the termites!

Spencer's first day alone in Nursery

The primary presidency let us put Spencer in Nursery a little early so that we could teach our primary class more effectively. I took him for the first time last week and stayed with him the majority of the time but today, I took him in there, stayed for a few minutes while he got himself involved (distracted) with toys and I left. When I picked him up, they told me he didn't cry at all, told them when he wanted more of something, and was a happy boy! YEAH! I expected them to come get me at any moment but they never did! Wow! I feel very lucky!
